Cormega started his career on in Queensbridge, where he met Nas in the early '90s. The two became friends but before long Cormega was sent to prison just as Nas started to blow up. Cormega was released from prsion and appeared on Nas' second album. He was supposed to be a member of The Firm but was replaced by another Queens rapper, Nature. The Firm album bombed, but Cormega was furious and started to beef with Nas. Cormega was issued a Def Jam contract but soon left after releasing a couple singles, to hit the independent road. Mega signed with Landspeed and released his debut album in 2001. The album received much praise and Cormega had proven himself as a passionate rapper. The Nas feud continued as the two struck each other with back and forth disses. Cormega released two albums in 2002. The first album was released by Body Shop and contained a lot of freestyles and mixtape verses. The second was released by Landspeed and contained some more disses for Nas. In 2004, Cormega released his fourth album on Koch. A year later he released his fifth album on his own Legal Hustle label. He recently teamed up with fellow QB rapper Lake for his latest album titled, 'My Brothers Keeper'.
